01

Who we are and what this covers

SCREW IT! (the "Game") is developed and published by 352 Interactive ("we", "us"). For the personal data described below, we are the data controller under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the veri sorumlusu under Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). For Turkish players, this document also serves as the information notice (aydınlatma metni) required by Article 10 of KVKK.

This policy applies to the Game itself, including its online multiplayer and voice chat. It does not cover Steam or the Epic Games services, which are governed by their own privacy policies (see section 5), and it does not cover our website, which has a separate notice.

02

The data we process

We keep this list short on purpose. The Game only processes what it needs to run a match between you and your friends.

Support correspondenceYour email address and whatever you choose to tell us if you contact us.You, only if you write to us.

What we do not collect

  • Payment or billing information — purchases are handled entirely by Steam.
  • Your real name, email address, date of birth or password.
  • Recordings or transcripts of your voice. There is no speech recognition, voice analysis or voiceprint in the Game.
  • Precise location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or data about other software on your computer.
  • Analytics or telemetry through a third-party SDK. The Game contains none at the time of writing.

Your voice is not processed to identify you, so it is not treated as biometric or other special-category data. It is simply relayed, in real time, to the people you are playing with.

04

Voice chat, other players and your controls

SCREW IT! is a voice game: when you are in a match and your microphone is live, the other players in that match hear you. Your audio is captured on your computer, any active voice penalty is applied there, and the result is streamed through Epic Online Services’ voice servers to the other players in the same room. It exists only in transit. Neither we nor the Game keep a copy.

Controls available to you

  • Mute your microphone at any time with a hotkey (M by default, configurable in Settings).
  • Mute all incoming audio with a hotkey (N by default).
  • Mute or turn down individual players from the in-game player list.
  • Choose or disable your input device in Settings, and check the level meter before a match.
  • Play only with people you know — matches are joined by private room code.

What other players can see and do

Other players in your match see your Steam display name and hear your voice. When a direct peer-to-peer connection is made, your IP address may also be visible to their computers; where it is not, traffic is relayed through Epic’s servers. Other players are not bound by this policy, and they may record or stream what they see and hear — something that is common with party games. Please do not share information over voice chat that you would not want repeated.

05

Service providers and who receives your data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. The Game depends on two platform providers:

ProviderRoleWhat they handleTheir policy
Valve Corporation (Steam), USAIndependent controllerYour Steam account, purchase, ownership check and display name. Valve may also collect crash and hardware data under its own terms.Steam Privacy Policy
Epic Games, Inc. (Epic Online Services), USAService provider (processor) acting on our instructionsSign-in via Connect, lobbies, peer-to-peer relays and voice (RTC) for online matches.Epic Games Privacy Policy

Beyond those, personal data is disclosed only (a) to the other players in your match, as described in section 4; (b) to our email provider, if you contact us; (c) to professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and (d) to a successor if the Game or studio is transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

06

International transfers

Valve and Epic Games are based in the United States, and their infrastructure operates in several countries. Using the Game therefore involves transferring personal data outside Turkey, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.

Where data leaves the EEA or UK, the transfer relies on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or, where the recipient is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension. For transfers from Turkey, we rely on the appropriate safeguards provided for in Article 9 of KVKK, including standard contracts. Transfers are also necessary to perform the contract you enter into when you play online (GDPR Art. 49(1)(b)). You can ask us for more information about these safeguards using the contact details below.

07

How long we keep it

DataRetention
Voice dataNot stored. It is streamed in real time and discarded as soon as it has been delivered.
Gameplay dataHeld in memory for the duration of the match only. It is discarded when the lobby closes; we keep no match history.
Lobby and room codesDeleted by Epic Online Services when the lobby closes.
Online service identifiersKept by Epic Online Services for as long as the Game’s online services operate, or until you ask us to delete them.
Local settingsOn your computer until you change them or uninstall the Game.
Support correspondenceUntil your request is resolved, then deleted within 24 months unless we must keep it longer by law.

Data held by Valve under your Steam account is retained according to Valve’s own policy.

08

Security

Online connections in the Game run over Epic Online Services, which encrypts peer-to-peer and voice traffic in transit. We avoid holding personal data on our own systems at all, which is the most reliable protection we can offer, and access to any support correspondence is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the competent authority where the law requires it.

09

Children

SCREW IT! is a party game with adult humour and open voice chat with other players. It is not directed at children under 13, or under the higher minimum age that applies where you live (16 in some EEA countries). We do not knowingly process personal data of children below that age. If you believe a child has used the Game in breach of this, contact us and we will delete what we can and help you with the relevant platform.

10

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access — to know whether we process your data and to receive a copy.
  • Rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Erasure — to have your data deleted.
  • Restriction — to limit how we use your data.
  • Portability — to receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Complaint — to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Players in Turkey (KVKK Article 11)

You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information about it; to learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom it is transferred; to request its correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate; to request its deletion or destruction under Article 7; to request that the third parties it was transferred to are notified of such correction or deletion; to object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage suffered from unlawful processing. Applications may be made in writing or by email as set out in the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, and will be answered free of charge within 30 days. You may complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority.

Players in the EEA and UK

We respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you why. You may complain to your local data protection authority or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Players in California and other US states

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You may request to know, correct or delete the personal information we hold, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

How to make a request

Email general@352interactive.info with the subject "Privacy — SCREW IT!". To find your data we will need your Steam display name or Steam ID; we may ask for reasonable proof that the account is yours. Because Valve holds your Steam account data, requests about it may be best made to Valve directly — we will point you there when that is the case.

11

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the Game changes in a way that affects your data — for example if we add analytics, player reporting or clip capture. The effective date and version at the top will change with it. For material changes we will also announce the update in the Game’s Steam news feed and, where the law requires, ask for your consent before the change applies to you.

12

Contact

Questions about this policy or about your data can be sent to general@352interactive.info. We read every message and reply in English or Turkish.
